Golden Gong in Grover Beach

It was more towards a 5 but I'm leaning towards next time. Picked up order even though they deliver being only 5min away it would still be hot . The order was spot on , food was tasty ,and I would go back.1 but,could have been warmer i was 5min early so i had it out of the kitchen to my hands. Looking forward to eating in . Staff was friendly 😎Mr B

Love the food,spouse finally tried something different, Sweet& Sour Chicken Early Dinner he liked it but he said nothing will beat the Pork noodle soup for him, I love it all even the hanging lanterns try Golden Gong you will to.

First time here, so just ordered chicken chow mein (one dish they should've mastered). Burned oil flavor killed it, but it was also gloppy (noodle dish doesn't need that much cornstarch) and the noodles were the thickest I've ever seen.

Food was good. Price normal for a Chinese restraunt. Wait staff was helpful and friendly

Sunday evening delivered order. General Chicken, Sweet Sour Pork, Egg Rolls, Chicken Chow Mein, Pork Fried Rice $45. Came with WonTons, Fortune Cookies, Soy Sauce. Everything arrived on time, hot and fresh. Great job! Will definitely be back!

Hands down the best Chinese food EVER! The restaurant is quaint and adorable...the owners are sweet... and the food is AMAZING! I HIGHLY recommend the potstickers and the egg foo young. I PROMISE, you will NOT be disappointed!

Thus place has been around for what seems like forever, and the quality never seems to waiver. Always fresh and good. I recommend the orange chicken. A bit of zip but suuuuper tasty.

Picture you sent me is that I ordered broccoli beef it had so much garlic it's stuck with me two days, fried rice was tasteless my wife's chicken chow mein was not good, the little piece of chicken they serve you wrapped in foil was the best bite of the night

Hot mustard had a strange taste, place was not busy but the service was slow. Food was OK but I have had a lot better. Put it on the same level as Panda Express. Had to give it about a 2 1/2 stars.

Was turned away and or had to wait 50 minutes only because there was 5 of us and not 6 in our party..

I called and made an order for a pick up at 5:05 PM they said it would be a half an hour. I come back my husband goes in and an older lady in a turtleneck comes out and says it hasn’t been a half an hour yet as I’m sitting on my clock and it’s 5:40 PM and she was rude about it to my husband. Did I mention I was spending $70 One star for customer service btw we didn’t get our food they “accidentally” gave our order to the wrong person😡 an hour later. We left.

There aren’t a lot of Chinese restaurants in this area and those that exists aren’t great (especially if you’ve lived in a big city). This is good for here, probably can’t compete with the city Chinese restaurants like those in SF. The soup was really large even though we ordered a small. The mains were decent size. Fried rice wasn’t good, might stick to steam rice in the future

Good food and good service.

It's fine for large groups, friendly staff, reasonably priced. The only thing that I can complain about is the variety of dishes. It doesn't seem to change, which is fine this is a personal complaint anyway.

We called in an order for takeout. I could tell by the aromas when picking up our order that it was going to be good. We ordered lunch specials that came with very tasty soup. The people were fantastic and my order was ready on time. Could not ask for anything more. We will be back.
